Today I’m going to teach you how to start preparing your Chief Aim Statement.

This is a statement you can to repeat every morning and every night to help you make progress on your most important personal goals (i.e., your mission).

The goal of this statement is to help you (1) stay focused on your selected mission, and (2) communicate your desires often and clearly to your subconscious mind, thereby creating favorable conditions for your desires (i.e., your mission, purpose, etc) to manifest in your life.

Here’s are the 3 ingredients you need to make this work:

  1. You need to decide exactly what you want
  2. You need to choose a specific date to have it
  3. You need to decide what you’re going to do in return for it. What services are you going to offer? What products are you going to sell? Exactly what do you plan on doing in exchange for what you want?

Once these ingredients are clearly defined, you’re ready to start writing your Chief Aim Statement. Now, if you’ve ever read Think and Grow Rich, this is going to be quite familiar to you. Why? Because we’ll be using the exact same framework Napoleon Hill used in that book to put this statement together.

It’s basically a mad lib you can tweak to your liking — all you have to do is plug in the 3 ingredients you defined earlier.

Here’s an example of what those ingredients looks like:

  1. “I want to have $250,000 in savings”
  2. “I want this money by November 24th, 2023”
  3. “I intend to give the best possible service I can as a marketing consultant”

The only thing I want to note here is that, for the sake of this example, #3 is a bit weak. And if I were actually doing this for myself, I would want to expand on that point a little further. Perhaps I’m a marketing consultant offering digital media advice to small and medium sized businesses in Canada… or something like that. The clearer, the better. Specificity is important here.

Okay, so now that we have our 3 ingredients hot and ready, it’s time to plug them into the framework for our Chief Aim Statement. Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait until tomorrow to get your sticky little paws on it.

Until then, get as clear as you can on your 3 ingredients and we’ll hit the ground running tomorrow.

Halt right there!
