3 Steps to Nail Your Goals AFTER You Failed to Hit Them
You don’t only get one shot, you know?
As of today, I’ve lost almost 25 pounds since November.
A great achievement, to be sure.
The only problem is…
I failed to reach my goal by about 1 pound.
And although I’m happy about my progress…
I’m also disappointed I wasn’t able to make it happen.
But let’s be real here.
I look great.
I FEEL great.
And I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been.
So I’m really not all that upset about it.
But I AM hungrier than ever before to dig deeper so I can reach my target.
So how am I going to do that?
How am I going to ensure I get to where I want to be?
Well, that’s the purpose of today’s article.
Because not only will this evaluation help ME reach my goal…
But it will also help YOU reach your goals, too — granted you follow along.
So let’s get started.
Here are 3 steps to nail your goals AFTER you failed to hit them.
#1 — Examine what you did right vs. what you did wrong
Make note of what you were doing when you were making progress.
Do more of that.
THEN make note of what you were doing when your progress suffered.
Do less of that.
Easy, right?
#2 — Make another plan of attack
Once you know what you did right vs. what you did wrong…
Then it’s time to make a plan.
Grab a pen and write down the things you MUST DO to make progress. Also, write down the things you MUST NOT DO if you don’t want to fall behind.
Writing this down will reinforce these ideas in your brain.
And right now, you need all the help you can get.
#3 — Initiate your plan with conviction
You know what you need to do.
You know what you need to not do.
You also have your plan of attack in place.
Now, all you need to do is follow that plan as closely as possible.
The more you do, the more you’ll move closer to your goal. The more you don’t, the further you’ll get away from it.
It really is that simple.
Anyway, even though I didn’t hit my weight-loss target when I wanted to…
You can be damn-well sure I’ll hit it after following these steps.
And if you follow the same process, I can almost guarantee you’ll be hitting your goals, too.
Enjoy.
