Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about how to wake up early.

Mainly because I’m sick and tired of not being able to do it myself and am growing quite eager to make it a part of my life.

But also because I’ve been seeing a lot of people making stupid mistakes when they try to make it a habit, too.

In response to that, I’d like to help. So if you’re someone who struggles to wake up early, keep reading.

Here are 6 non-negotiable things you must do the night before if you ever want to wake up early with consistency:

  1. Go to bed at least 7–8 hours before you want to wake up.
  2. If you’re using your phone as an alarm, make sure it’s got a decent charge. Also, make sure the alarm is set.
  3. If you plan on using an actual alarm, make sure it’s set and ready to go.
  4. Avoid all screens for at least 30 minutes before bed (60 minutes is even better).
  5. Meditate on the ‘reason why’ you want to wake up early. 30–60 seconds is really all you need.
  6. Before you fall asleep, ask your ‘higher-self’ to help you resist the urge to get back in bed. Though it may sound kooky, it works!

And there you have it:

6 non-negotiable night-before tactics to become an early riser.

If you miss any of them, you increase your chances of slipping up and staying in bed. And if you’re someone who’s tried and failed to wake up early many times before, you don’t want to take that chance.

We stubborn sleepers need all the help we can get.

Now, following these tips won’t guarantee you’ll actually wake up early…

But not following these tips will damn-near guarantee you don’t.

So ignore them at your peril… or follow them for your reward.

Good luck, and happy rising :)

Halt right there!
