How to make your goals instantly more attainable

If you’re faced with a goal, and you feel like there’s a snowball’s chance in hell you can achieve it, there’s one simple thing you can do that instantly makes it more attainable.

Bold claim, I know. But it’s true.

Hear me out.

When most people look at a goal, they see it as this big insurmountable task. From the base of the mountain, they look to the peak and wonder how the heck they’re going to get there. Intimidated, they fail to act. And through their inaction, fail to reach the goal.

If this sounds familiar, then it’s time I let you in on a (not so) little secret.

Ready for it?

Here goes.

Break your goal into more manageable pieces.

Simple as that.

In other words, don’t focus on ALL the distance you need to cover. Instead, break your journey into smaller sections and focus ONLY on reaching the next destination. Then, when you get there, focus on the next.

Doing this helps you gather little victories along the way, and it’s these little victories that stoke your motivation to continue moving forward.

Before you know it, you achieve your goal and reach the summit.

A not-so-insurmountable mountain, after all.

Break your goals into more manageable pieces and I promise you’ll find them infinitely easier to accomplish.

Those basecamps on Everest do serve a purpose, after all.

Halt right there!
