I Done Messed Up & I Messed Up Good

And how you can avoid doing the same

Here I am, sitting at my desk, waiting for inspiration to strike.

Only problem is, I doubt it’s going to strike at all — at least for today.

Why? Because I made a mistake that I know is going to cost me.

In fact, it appears it’s already costing me now.

Yes, my friend — I done fucked up and I fucked up good.

What was this grave error, you might be wondering?

Lean in a little closer and I’ll tell you — because chances are, you’ve been making the same mistake, too.

Here it is:

I haven’t been keeping up my end of the bargain.

What does that even mean?

Let’s back up a little…

When I first decided I was going to write a new article every day to help people live better lives, I knew it was going to be a challenge. I knew there were going to be days when I didn’t know what to write about.

And knowing that, I came up with a solution:

  • Read new material every day
  • Study in-depth the concepts I want to teach
  • And then use that knowledge to write great stuff

It was simple really… in principle.

But then I fell behind and my writing started to suffer.

Like today, for example…

I felt empty — like I didn’t have anything fresh to say.

I didn’t have a new perspective or point of view I was excited to share.

And the reason for that is because I didn’t keep up my end of the bargain — I didn’t fill the tank of knowledge like I promised myself I would.

But I promise to rectify that — not only for you, but aso for myself.

Because writing these articles is so much easier when there’s a consistent flow of powerful information coming to me. And as I disseminate that information and share with you, I integrate it more into my own life.

Everyone wins then.

So let me ask you something…

Are you keeping up your end of the bargain?

Are you studying that material you know you need to study?

Are you practicing that skill you know you need to practice?

Because if not, then it’s time you start filling those tanks.

It might not be the “sexy”, fun, or exciting thing to do — but it’s the work that inevitably makes your life much easier.

In fact, in many cases, it’s the work that matters most.

Halt right there!
