My Super Secret Writing Process

I’m going to let you in on a little secret.

A secret that may very well amp up your writing game more than anything else before.

It’s something I’ve been doing almost daily for the past 319 days with remarkable success.

And I suspect if you do it, too, you’ll achieve similar results.

Results like:

  1. Banging out an article every day, and
  2. Writing them record time, too.

So what is this ‘secret’ I’m talking about?

Really, it’s more a process — my daily writing process — and today I going to share it with you.

Here’s how it works:

First, I sit down at my computer and put my headphones on. I then start playing some soft, classical music.

Next, I set a timer for 33 minutes and 33 seconds and hit start. The moment the clock starts ticking, I head over to the Hemingway App and start writing.

Now comes the tricky part.

While writing, there’s only one metric I keep my eye on. And that metric is the word count.

The reason I do this is because as soon as I hit 200 words, I wrap up whatever thought I’m on and then review my work.

I give it a quick edit, make sure it all has a logical flow, and then tack some sort of zinger on the end to wrap it all up.

If all goes as planned, I’ll still have some time left over to get the article published and shared.

And that’s it.

Classical music, 33:33 on the timer, and at least 200 logical words. I do this every morning, every day, and I usually have it all done before anyone in my house wakes up.

Not bad, right?

Try it out for yourself.

It might just be the answer you’re looking for.

Halt right there!
