I’d like to share with you the ‘Self Confidence Formula’ from my all-time favorite book, Think and Grow Rich.

This is a statement that should be repeated once every day to help you become a more self-reliant and successful person. It’s a tool that can help you cultivate unshakeable faith in yourself and your own abilities.

If you’ve read Think and Grow Rich already, then forgive me if I get any of this wrong. I’ll be writing the statement from memory, so it may not be 100% accurate — though I do repeat this statement to myself every day, so it should be pretty close, if not perfect.

But a word of caution first…

In order to make the ‘Self Confidence Formula’ work for you, there are a couple things you need to understand and have prepared:

  1. You’ll need to know what a Chief Aim Statement is, and you’ll need to have your Chief Aim Statement written and ready to go;
  2. You’ll need to have an understanding of Autosuggestion — which is basically a method by which you can influence your subconscious mind (I’ll be sure to write a post about it in more detail and link to it here);

With that out of the way, let me introduce to you…

The Self Confidence Formula

“I know I have the ability to achieve my definite purpose in life — therefore, I demand of myself persistent, continuous action, and I hereby promise to take such action.

I realize the dominating thoughts of my mind will eventually reproduce themselves in outward, physical action, and gradually transform themselves into physical reality — therefore, I will concentrate my thoughts for 30 minutes daily upon the task of thinking of the person I intend to become, thereby creating in my mind a clear mental picture of that person.

I know through the principle of Autosuggestion that any desire I persistently hold in my mind will eventually seek expression through some practical means of attaining the object — therefore, I will devote 10 minutes daily to demanding of myself the development of self-confidence.

I have clearly written a description of my Definite Chief Aim in life, and I will never stop trying until I have developed sufficient self-confidence for its attainment.

I fully realize that no wealth or position can long endure unless built upon truth and justice. Therefore, I will engage in no transaction that does not benefit all whom it affects. I will succeed by attracting to myself the forces I wish to use and the cooperation of other people. I will induce others to serve me because of my willingness to serve others.

I will eliminate hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness, and cynicism by developing love for all humanity because I know that a negative attitude toward others can never bring me success. I will cause others to believe in me because I will believe in them, and in myself.

I will sign my name to this formula, commit it to memory, and repeat it aloud once daily with full FAITH that it will gradually transform my THOUGHTS and my ACTIONS so that I will become a self-reliant and successful person.”

And there you have it — the Self Confidence Formula.

As I said before, once you’ve written down your Chief Aim Statement and have a thorough understanding of Autosuggestion, you can use this formula to help you develop unshakeable faith in yourself and your abilities.

But when should you repeat it?

And when should you do everything else requested in the formula?

That’s a great question, fellow Manifestor — and a topic I’ll be more than happy to cover another day.

For now, start by repeating the formula to yourself once every morning and you’ll be well on your way to making the formula’s magic work for you.

Halt right there!

If you enjoyed this article, why not show it some love or share your thoughts below? Either way, you’re awesome & I appreciate you reading 😊
