Why You Struggle to Change

Hint: It’s not because you don’t want to

I know you want to change.

I know you want something different.

I know you’ve tried countless times to redirect the course of your life — only to come up short and fall back into old patterns and routines.

I know that about you because I’ve been there, too.

Heck, in many ways, I still am.

But here’s the thing…

If you keep hoping… if you keep praying… if you keep visualizing and desiring something better…

… eventually, you’re going to win — it’s just a matter of time.

Because when you keep that fire of wanting change alive, the flames get stronger and stronger. And before you know it, the blaze becomes so large and undeniable that you have no choice but to to act on it.

But if you allow yourself to become consumed by everything else vying for your attention — and you lose focus on desiring that change for something better — the flame you worked so hard to keep alive diminishes and all your momentum disappears in the smoke.

Don’t let that happen to you.

Instead, do everything you can to keep that fire alive.

Remind yourself every day of your desire for something better.

With consistency, the flames will grow — I promise you that.

But everyday you lose focus, the fire subsides.

And then you’re back at square one.

So which will it be? Fire or no fire?

The choice is ultimately yours.

Halt right there!
