Will you do this small act of love for someone you care about today?

I want you to do something for me.

It takes very little effort and almost no time at all. And if you do it, I promise the payoff is going to be tremendous — for both yourself and the person for whom you’re doing it.

Ready? Wonderful!

Let’s get started.

First, I want you to whip out your phone and open your preferred messaging app. Text, Facebook Messenger, Email, whatever… it doesn’t matter.

Next, I want you to choose a friend or family member you haven’t talked with in a while. If you’re like most people, this shouldn’t be hard.

Now here’s where the magic happens.

I want you to write this message (verbatim) and send it to them:

I’m really grateful you’re a part of my life.

That’s it.

Simple, profound and straight from the heart.

If you hesitate a bit before hitting send, that’s okay. Expressing your appreciation for others takes a bit of getting used to.

When you do hit send, however, note how it makes you feel. Note how your heart opens as a sense of euphoria (no matter how small or fleeting) rushes through you. This is what it means to share your love with others.

Now imagine what it’s going to do for the other person once they read the message.

Beautiful, isn’t it?

And all it took was a handful of words.

Do this and I promise it’s going to have a profound impact on you both.

Halt right there!
